The Geneva Conventions and additional protocols state that attacks on civilian infrastructure are prohibited. The warring parties must distinguish between civilian and military objects. The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, in turn, noted that his team is collecting evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. Karim Khan also noted that the International Criminal Court is ready to fully cooperate with the goal of restoring justice to Ukraine and punishing those guilty of crimes by legal means, even though this path is slow. “We are ready to speed up work so that Ukrainians and people around the world see justice as soon as possible, and the guilty receive punishment,” Karim Khan emphasized.
